Hearing loss is greatly misunderstood. Many people assume hearing loss is due only to aging and don't realize the impact of noise exposure. Noise-induced hearing loss can make it difficult to understand speech and impairs the ability to communicate which can result in safety risks and impact on personal life style. If serious, hearing loss can lead to psychological and social isolation. The presenters discuss how to prevent noise-induced hearing loss in the workplace.

Learning Objectives:
1. Describe noise-induced hearing lost.
2. Recognize sources of noise that may result in noise-induced hearing loss.
3. Explain means of protecting hearing.
4. List elements of an effective hearing conservation program.
