Baseline industrial hygiene surveys are performed to understand the processes, materials, work environment, physical layout, and job tasking where exposure to chemicals or other agents are involved. The intent is to identify possible risks to worker health and the need for further evaluating and testing to determine if there is a risk of overexposure and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulatory compliance issues. Learn about industrial hygiene assessment, baseline industrial hygiene surveys, and how to conduct them and convert them to workplace monitoring plans.
