Do individuals with disabilities have more workplace accidents? Are they more likely to be sick or miss work due to disability related illnesses? This presentation addresses these and other myths that negatively influence employer perceptions of job seekers with disabilities. Attendees leave with a better understanding of who is included in the disability population, the advantages of diversifying your workforce, and the best ways to source employees.

1. Describe the disability population and their importance to the U.S. workforce.
2. Distinguish between myths and facts concerning employees with disabilities and workplace safety.
3. Recognize current work force participation trends and how individuals with disabilities can help increase the bottom line.
