The value and impact of ergonomics, safety, speed and efficiency in a fast-paced industrial environment is immensely important. To maintain the morale of workers and to keep up with the ever-growing pace of operations, employers must sever the dependence on the raw strength and endurance of laborers. By introducing vacuum technology and its variety of applications in various industries, the reliability and speed it takes to keep up with growing demands can be met with great proficiency, allowing many processes to become automated or simply ergonomically optimized. This presentation provides best practices to meet the demand for more efficient lifting practices.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Identify issues in material handling applications that lead to inefficient practices;
  2. Recognize the impacts vacuum technology can make in various industries; and
  3. Summarize differences in various lifting solutions.
